There was a minor upset when 40th ranked NorwegianFredrikstad (1-7) was defeated by 42th ranked Latvian Cesis (3-5) 80-75 on Saturday. Fredrikstad was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 27-14 charge of Cesis, which allowed them to win the game. They made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Mikus Kalnins who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Ricards Terauds chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Eskil Dalen who recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and German Kimi Stobbe added 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Four Cesis and five Fredrikstad players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Cesis went down to 45th position due to points difference, which they share with 3 other teams.
